As you may know I mostly fish in SW Florida. However, hornetbear.com seems to have fans in Texas! They sent me some photos to add captions too and help educate everyone in Florida about the different fishery in Texas.
These birds are called "water chickens." Be sure to call them that if you visit Texas.
This is a 25" redfish and people here are 13 feet tall. Its crazy but true.
Fishing is very different here. This guy caught some kind of shapeshifting doppleganger in a pool of lava! Gnarly!
In Texas, fly fishing is less popular and anglers prefer to shoot fish with invisible guns.
Another uniquely Texan form of fishing is where they take a poisionous snake and fling it at the fish. Those guys are tough as nails!
This Texan got so high smoking mullet, he didn't even feel the crab attacking.
Man. This is what it's all about. Friends. Good times. Hypothermia.
"Dude, your sister is NOT as hot as you said she was."
Texas has hippies too, evidently...
When Texans go camping they bring a lot of stuff.
Thanks for educating Florida about us Texans. I'm not real happy about you telling them about our invisible guns though.
